Sell better, faster and with less effort

Summary:

Every company manages its product data in some way or another, so PIM (Product Information Management) is basically everywhere. However, established data models, processes, and systems reach their limits at some point. These can no longer be managed simply by deploying additional employees, adapting systems, or constantly maintaining new systems and lists.

DOUBLE MAINTENANCE

The same or similar information is created multiple times or copied and pasted from A to B over and over again. A PIM system provides a central data source in which all existing information is brought together and compiled. This data source can then be transferred to the target systems in an automated and user-friendly way.

INCORRECT DATA

Despite several approval steps in the creation and publication process, incorrect data occurs time and time again. It can be particularly troubling if the same errors appear in several publications repeatedly.

NO OVERVIEW

At present, it is difficult to get a complete overview of the products that can be sold. No one can say with certainty how many products actually appear in the store, on the marketplace, or in the catalog, and whether all relevant products are actually published there. In addition, no one within the company knows all the information about a product or can easily obtain it.

MULTIPLE SOURCES

A lot of information is created multiple times, either at different times or due to slightly different requirements. As a result, there are a large number of product names and descriptions, and even technical values can vary.

CONFUSION

Even if information is found, it is often not clear whether it is up-to-date, approved, i.e., valid data. Employees therefore tend to create new islands of information so as not to lose the treasure trove of valid information once it has been found. Unintentionally, however, they create further redundant and, from the time of storage, obsolete data.

EXPENSIVE AND SLOW

It is clear that companies can react very inflexibly and slowly when new languages, marets, or products need to be introduced. The entire data and organizational infrastructure is only geared towards the here and now. Everything should actually be much more flexible and ready for use more quickly, but there is so much complexity that speeding up immediately causes many errors.

COMPLIANT

Not just the introduction of new products, but also the optimization and provision of the existing product portfolio can be highly complex. Some work steps are hardly or not at all documented or are so complicated that they can only be carried out by certain employees. It takes a very long time to train new employees and they often lose motivation quickly due to this complexity which cannot be easily reduced.
