The Andreas Stihl AG is a global champion from Germany. A world leader in the development and production of motorized devices for forestry, gardening, landscaping, and construction – with over 50,000 specialized trade partners in more than 160 countries.
STIHL developed independent digital solutions in several areas of the company – from marketing to sales to product. The result: silos, duplicate work, slow delivery, declining motivation.
The goal was clear: more speed, efficiency, and a consistent digital experience – for customers and retailers.
The challenge: Within a few weeks, a viable, decision-ready organizational concept needed to be created – involving all relevant departments.
Structural Adjustments – with a framework for organization, processes, and collaboration.
The result: a binding organizational concept that enhances speed, quality, and ownership in digital delivery.
- Establishing a scalable organizational model based on agile and DevOps principles.
- Moderation with empathy – we engaged with people, resolved tensions, and created focus.
- Consulting with depth – together with STIHL, all relevant questions were identified, prioritized, and transformed into an actionable plan.

From June to September 2025, we worked in intensive workshops and focused work sessions. Topics were addressed step by step, and decisions were documented transparently.
Y1 provided strategy, methodology, and moderation – led by Tobias Becker (Head of Strategy & Business Consulting).
STIHL contributed leadership and expertise: Director Global E-Commerce, Director Global Digital Marketing, Director Marketing Technologies, Director E-Commerce Technology, Director Connect Products, Director Marketing Communication – and numerous experts from the teams.
Working at eye level, pragmatic methods, real progress: This is how a concept was developed over approximately 50 project days that holds up.
